The qualification requirement for the position of early childhood education teacher is at least a Bachelor's degree in Education, including professional studies related to early childhood education, as specified in section 26 of the Early Childhood Education Act 540/2018, or supplemented with such studies. Additionally, applicants must meet the criteria outlined in the transitional provisions concerning personnel under the same act. Pre-primary class teachers must also have the qualification of a pre-primary teacher according to section 7 of the Teaching Staff Qualification Decree (986/1998). If no qualified applicants are available, the position may be filled for a fixed term of one year with a person holding suitable education in early childhood education. We value applicants with expertise and experience in the Zones of Regulation method. The salary for a qualified teacher eligible for OVTES is €3,056.64 per month. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as per the Act 504/2002 concerning background checks for persons working with children, and a medical certificate of health before starting employment. A six (6) month probationary period will be observed for this position.
