Building Services/Technical Specialist - Lapin kesäyliopisto - Rovaniemi, Finland

We are seeking a TECHNICAL SPECIALIST to join our team on a permanent basis. You will work alongside the person responsible for the property at Lapland Sports Institute Santasport. The sports institute operates in a technically challenging and interesting environment. It includes facilities such as swimming, bowling, and sports halls, as well as extensive accommodation services. The property also has two restaurant halls and a large production kitchen. Your tasks will include maintenance, repair, and service duties for the property, such as refurbishing and repairing hotel rooms and public areas, as well as surfaces and furnishings. This is a full-time position and will later include on-call duties for the swimming pool equipment, for which you will receive training. Applicants must have relevant education and experience in the field. Additionally, we require initiative, the ability to work independently, good cooperation and communication skills, service-mindedness, an active approach, and a willingness and ability to learn new skills, e.g., swimming pool technology. Proficiency in Finnish and a valid driver’s license are essential. It is also appreciated if the applicant has knowledge and experience in the following areas: - Various repair tasks (e.g., furniture, door, window, lock repairs) - Planning and executing predictable annual maintenance - Monitoring and ensuring the functionality of HVAC systems - Operating building automation systems At our organization, you will find meaningful work in a professional training environment.
