Job Description
The Vice Rector for Research at Tampere University is responsible for leading the university's research activities and their strategic development. The role involves ensuring high-quality research, collaborating with the rector and other vice rectors, monitoring international research trends and national science policy, participating in leadership activities, and representing the university in research networks. The position is full-time, based in Tampere, from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2031. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree, professorship, have broad academic experience, knowledge of research funding and science policy, leadership experience, understanding of research infrastructures and ecosystems, international collaboration experience, and fluency in Finnish and English.
