Day Worker, Graani Service Center Mikkeli - Etelä-Savon hyvinvointialue - Mikkeli, Finland

South Savo Welfare Area Eloisa is seeking a day worker for a permanent position at Graani Service Center in Mikkeli, starting on 1.9.2026 or as agreed. The duties include assisting with tasks such as collecting, sorting, and placing laundry in lockers, delivering items and restocking lockers, taking out trash, fetching and removing meals and other food supplies. Additionally, the day worker assists residents with transfers and mobility, and participates in and supports residents during activities and outdoor outings. Qualifications: A day worker can be a person with caregiving assistant training or someone who has gained competence through work experience, without formal training. Furthermore, sufficient spoken and written Finnish language skills are required for the task. The position requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a health statement regarding respiratory tuberculosis as per section 55. A six (6) month trial period applies. Persons working with the elderly must present an acceptable criminal record extract before starting work if the employment exceeds 3 months (Supervision Act 741/2023, section 28).
