The Service Unit Manager for Physiatry and Physiotherapy Services is responsible for leading, planning, and developing the unit's operations, as well as ensuring operational results and fulfilling other tasks specified in the administrative regulations of the Kainuu Wellbeing Services County. The manager may temporarily act as a substitute for other senior managers in rehabilitation services alongside their own duties, if necessary. The role occasionally involves travel within the Kainuu region. Primarily, the manager leads specialized medical and primary health care physiotherapy services across Kainuu. Additionally, they will oversee the operation of the physiatry outpatient clinic in collaboration with the chief physician of physiatry. Qualifications include a higher university degree suitable for the position, licensure as a physiotherapist according to the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994), and at least 12 months of experience in supervisory roles within rehabilitation. A vaccination against infectious diseases as per section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act is required. In addition to the formal qualifications, successful performance in the role requires good oral and written communication skills, strong interaction and collaboration skills, initiative, resilience under pressure, and the ability to work independently and effectively.
