Job Description
Would you like to gain valuable work experience in the retail sector? Are you interested in flexible work where you can choose your shifts? Come to Joblink to learn to become a retail professional! We are currently looking for new customer-oriented workers for retail jobs as cashiers, shelf stockers, pickers, and service counter staff. You can apply regardless of whether you are at the beginning of your career or more experienced. You are suitable for gig work in retail if you are eager to work at various locations and feel that customer service might be your thing. What kind of work is it? Joblink offers gig work at various retail locations in shifts you choose yourself. You work flexibly according to your own schedule. You can conveniently book your shifts using the Joblink app. Most shifts are booked on short notice for the same week, but sometimes you know your shifts several weeks in advance. It is good to know that gig work often follows our clients' seasonal peaks – during busy times, there are many shifts, and during quieter seasons, fewer. Your own flexibility, attitude, and activity influence how many shifts are offered to you. The work site affects the flow of your days: in smaller local stores, you perform all tasks from cashiering to shelf stocking during one shift, while in large hypermarkets, you focus on one task during your shift. All retail jobs fundamentally aim to leave the customer with a good feeling after their shopping trip. We hope you are excited about working in a role that involves interacting with people! Before your first shifts, we will provide you with the necessary tools to succeed. You do not need to fear being thrown into the deep end without the required skills. What do we expect from you? You do not need previous work experience; a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are most important to us. Previous experience in daily goods retail is beneficial but not a requirement. As a gig worker, you enjoy variety and have the courage to take on multiple different work sites. We hope you have good social skills and are enthusiastic about meeting new people. You need to be fluent in Finnish and be at least 18 years old. Opportunities for further development Many of our employees started with gig work and later found permanent positions. Joblink can be a step towards a new beginning or a launchpad for a career in retail. What we offer Wages according to the retail sector collective agreement. Flexible work schedule that fits many life situations. The opportunity to take time off whenever you want. Valuable work and customer service experience that benefits you in any job. Opportunities for advancement to different retail roles and permanent employment. We have progressed from cash register trainers to team leaders, store managers, and even shop owners. Support from the Joblink office team. We are available 24/7, so you can reach us anytime you need support or help. A friendly workplace where you will enjoy working – many choose Joblink as their workplace based on a friend's recommendation! Discounts on Elixia and Fressi gym memberships.
