Job Description
We are seeking a proactive, independent, and committed facility maintenance worker for community technical services. Workplace: Eura municipality, Technical Department, Community Engineering, Facility Maintenance Worker The work area covers the entire municipality, with a base at Filppulantie 18a, the municipal depot, and Nummentie 28, Eura Sports Center. Qualifications: - Suitable technical basic education or at least 3 years of relevant work experience - Service-oriented attitude and teamwork skills - Willingness to undertake additional training - Ability to use own car Additional requirements: - Ability to independently handle assigned tasks and be proactive - Good physical condition - Ability to utilize knowledge and skills gained from previous jobs - Ability to work in a team or group within the work community - Ability to cooperate with stakeholders (residents, municipal actors) - Ability to work with different people - Fair treatment of residents (customers) - Basic IT skills (e.g., recording leave, intranet use) - Possession or completion of Tieturva 1 card training (free) - Completion of plant protection examination (employer-funded) - Ability to operate all work machines used in the job and possess a valid driver’s license for their operation Job duties include: - Maintenance and upkeep of sports fields, outdoor sports facilities, and athletics tracks across the municipality. - Making ski trails within Eura municipality (using a snowmobile or snow groomer). - Maintenance of ski trail bases and sports tracks within Eura. - Participating in maintenance and repair tasks of other public areas. - Planning and executing the use of budget allocations for sports areas in collaboration with the community engineering manager. - Regular evening and weekend work, especially during the winter season from November to March. - Communication and coordination with sports facility associations and clubs. - All work at Eura Sports Center, including maintenance of machines and equipment. - Winter season responsibilities include comprehensive care of artificial ice surfaces, including assembly and disassembly of ice rinks, snow removal, ice freezing with ice maintenance equipment, edge sharpening, and maintaining ice machinery. - Most tasks are outdoor work. Working hours: - Shift work (average 38.25 hours/week). - Time tracking with a time clock. The position is permanent. Salary is based on the municipal technical staff TS scale. A six-month probation period applies. - Eura municipality is smoke-free, and smoking during working hours is prohibited. - The selected candidate must present a satisfactory medical certificate before starting the job.
