Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for the technical design and product development of air handling unit cooling and heat pump systems. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that solutions are high-performing and compliant with industry standards throughout the lifecycle, from design to practical testing. The core of the role involves product development projects focused on transitioning to a new generation of natural refrigerants. This is not just an office job; you will have the opportunity to apply theory in practice alongside production testers. Tasks can be performed in a hybrid model from Hollola, approximately 3-4 days a week at the Hollola location. Work Tasks - Sizing, designing, and modeling heat pump solutions for air handling units - Preparing and documenting technical drawings, calculations, and system diagrams - Selecting components for cooling systems, such as compressors and control systems - Testing and verifying heat pump solutions in the product development process - Providing technical support and training to sales, procurement, and installation teams - Monitoring and applying industry standards, regulations, and directives in design We are looking for - Suitable technical education, such as HVAC engineer or MSc in energy technology - Strong understanding of the operation and sizing of air conditioning and cooling systems - Fluent Finnish and English language skills - Ability to apply energy efficiency principles in design work - Team-oriented, curious, and open-minded approach to work We appreciate if you have - In-depth knowledge of refrigerants and their properties (e.g., natural refrigerants) - Good skills in CAD or BIM design software - Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration with HVAC and electrical designers Recruitment Process Academic Work handles this recruitment on behalf of our client, who prefers all questions related to the position to be directed to Academic Work.
