Job Description
The role is for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer specializing in electrical and cabling systems. They will lead the Electrical/harness from design to the factory floor. The focus will be new product introduction and improvement to existing project optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring stringent quality compliance, and driving production efficiency. Key Responsibilities include being degree-qualified in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields, with proven experience in aerospace, defence, automotive, or highly regulated industries. The candidate should have strong experience leading NPI activities, delivering continuous improvement initiatives, and understanding aerospace quality standards like AS9100, IPC/WHMA-A-620, ESD control, and configuration control. Deep technical knowledge of electrical harness manufacturing processes such as crimping, braiding, potting, soldering, cable routing, connector assembly, and backshell integration is required. Experience in developing manufacturing documentation, using CAD, ERP, and MRP systems, and strong analytical and communication skills are essential. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume environment and managing multiple priorities. Desirable experience includes aerospace electrical assembly, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, automated wire processing, APQP, PFMEA, audit support, and environmental testing. The role requires SC clearance or eligibility.
