System Specialist

We are looking for a System Specialist for electronic systems to join VR FleetCare’s System and Reliability Services unit, primarily for the Helsinki office. The role involves procurement of rolling stock, type-approval, modification and improvement work, deployment and reliability activities at system and equipment level. The Systems and Reliability team provides technical support related to moving rolling stock systems. Responsibilities include contributing to requirements specifications, producing technical solutions and cost estimates for client projects, reviewing plans and documents, and supervising tests and deliveries. As a system specialist you will support risk and cost definitions, plan production technical support, and provide lifecycle management analyses. You will monitor system reliability and usability and develop maintenance programs in collaboration with stakeholders. You will keep track of developments in national and international regulations and standards and, when needed, participate as a specialist for VR Group. You will ensure communication and collaboration with stakeholders, disseminate know-how to maintenance units and end users, and participate in R&D activities for your tech area.
