Older job seekers are also very welcome to work in Sallatunturi! This is a great opportunity to spend the winter in a peaceful fell area! We hope the applicant has: - A cheerful, proactive attitude toward customer service and work - Ability to be part of a tight-knit team - Interest in winter sports and equipment (skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, etc.) - Basic English language skills We also value it if you have, for example: - Existing experience in the ski resort industry (rental work, customer service, ski instruction, Ski Patrol, snowmaking, cash register use) - Other language skills (e.g., Swedish, Dutch, German, Spanish) - B-class driver's license - A desire to try life in the Lapland winter - Own accommodation in Salla - Proficiency with cash registers and computers None of these individual items are mandatory; attitude and desire are sufficient. Everything else can be learned. Why choose Salla? - A medium-sized ski resort with a positive attitude - The groups and village community are tight-knit; it is easy to join the team - Nature begins right at the workplace door - An uncrowded and stress-free ski resort, yet there is plenty to do - Great opportunities for exercise and good employee benefits What we offer with employment: We offer our employees diverse benefits for leisure and hobbies. You can ski on Salla's slopes for free during the term of your employment contract and use rental equipment when available. Well-being supporting exercise benefits include free visits to the Salla sports center or a subsidized gym card. Additionally, you have discounts on lift tickets for other ski resorts with a Ski.fi staff card, as well as benefits for family members and friends when they visit Salla. Our remuneration: Salary is determined according to the ski resort industry collective agreement. Depending on the tasks, the starting salary is 12.01–13.07 €/h (starting 1.9.2026). Previous industry experience is taken into account as experience increments according to the TES, so experienced employees will have a higher hourly wage than mentioned above. Additionally, we pay all evening, night, Sunday, and holiday supplements according to the collective agreement. Salary is paid twice a month. Work shifts: We offer seasonal employment for these tasks. Our goal is to offer permanent employment to successful employees according to business needs. Work shifts are scheduled according to the ski resort's opening hours in morning, day, and evening shifts, as well as weekends and peak seasons. Shifts are planned in three-week periods and published at least one week before the period begins. The amount of working time can be agreed upon according to the applicant's wishes and the ski resort's needs. Please note before applying: We do not provide accommodation, but we are happy to help find a suitable apartment. Rental levels in Salla are very reasonable compared to many other Lapland tourism centers. There is no grocery store in the Sallatunturi area; the nearest is in the church village (10km), so plan your own transportation well in advance. What we want to see in the application (CV + cover letter + possible work certificates) - an introduction in the application about who you are - what the winter season in Salla would mean to you - how you see yourself as the best possible part of the team? Which workstation would be your preference? - we hope the application is in your own style and tells authentically who you are and why you want to work for us. You may use AI for language polishing, but we value personal applications most. All applications containing the aforementioned items will lead directly to a job interview. We conduct interviews via video link or on-site! Applications close on 20.11.2026, but we process applications as they arrive and fill positions when suitable employees are found!
