Job Description
The General Accountant (Balance Sheet Accounting, Taxes & Year-End Closing) is fully responsible for managing and preparing local statutory audit files and financial reports for Avery Dennison's German entities. This includes ensuring robust reconciliation between US GAAP and Local GAAP and maintaining excellent professional relationships with external auditors and local tax authorities. Additionally, you will support tax calculations and pension forecasts within the Shared Service Center. The role is based in Gotha, with the option to work from home 1-2 days per week. Main tasks include managing and preparing statutory audit files, annual financial statements, and statutory reports, supporting tax calculations according to ASC740, collaborating with external tax advisors, processing financial data, and supporting pension forecasts and month-end closing processes.
