Secondary Systems Designer to Joonas's team, electrical substations 20.7.2026 Remote / Lempäälä / Seinäjoki Would you like to join Joonas's team designing electrical substations that keep power grids running across Finland? At Sähkölandia, you will participate in diverse electrical substation projects together with an experienced design team. Who are we looking for? We are looking for a secondary systems designer for electrical substations for a permanent position. The role may suit you from two different starting points: 1. You are at the beginning of your career: You may already have some experience in design or a strong technical foundation upon which you want to build your expertise in secondary systems design for electrical substations. Your background could be, for example, in CAD design, mechanical or structural design, or other technical design work. Uransa alkuvaiheessa olevan toisiosuunnittelijan palkkahaarukka on noin 3000–3500 €/kk. 2. You are an experienced secondary systems designer: You already have experience in secondary systems design for electrical substations and want to work on diverse projects. If desired, you can also participate in developing the design process and building new operating methods. 5–10 vuoden kokemuksella palkkahaarukka on noin 4500–5200 €/kk. You can work remotely from almost anywhere, at our office in Lempäälä (next to Joonas), or at our future office in Seinäjoki. The work also includes visits to electrical substations during different phases of the projects as needed. What will you be doing? Your work may include, for example: - secondary systems design for electrical substations - design of circuit and wiring diagrams - design of protection and control circuits - installation design - documentation and maintenance of plans - coordinating plans with the project team - site visits and ensuring the implementation of plans The mandatory requirements list We hope this is more helpful than stressful – you don't need to know everything perfectly right away. The position is suitable for you if: - you have a UAS or University degree in electrical engineering or other suitable electrical field education - you have experience in secondary systems design for electrical substations or a strong foundation in electrotechnical design - you are proficient in CAD-based design software - you work systematically and independently - you enjoy solving problems and are not afraid to ask for help - you enjoy collaboration and value good team spirit - you are proficient in Finnish and, if necessary, English technical documentation We consider the following as an advantage - EPLAN skills (or interest in learning it) - experience in secondary systems design for electrical substations - proficiency in AutoCAD, CADMATIC, or other similar design software - practical knowledge of electrical substations, for example through testing or commissioning Why join Joonas's team?
