Nano, lasten ja nuorten kerhotoiminta is a company providing services for the cities of Helsinki and Vantaa. Nano organizes after-school club activities for 7-8-year-old children and operates groups in fourteen schools. We are seeking an after-school activity instructor for our club group at Ylästö School in Vantaa. The most essential skills for this role are excellent interaction skills, good organizational ability, and an interest in working with children. Nano's goal is for children to enjoy our clubs, engage in meaningful activities, and perceive our instructors as safe and competent adults. After-school activity is group-based, so group leadership skills are emphasized. The applicant must be able to be fun and motivating, while also being a firm adult who sets boundaries. A club day consists of outdoor activities, a snack, homework, and rotating hobby activities. We organize several hobby activities every day for the children to participate in. Our clubs have included various forms of physical activity (e.g., ball games, dance, and movement games), crafts, arts and crafts, etc. Our aim is to compile hobby programs that offer as diverse activities as possible. Nano strives for goal-oriented and planned operations in its after-school clubs, and instructors participate in drafting the academic year program under the guidance of the lead instructor. Work begins on August 6, 2026. This is a part-time position with approximately 21-26 working hours per week. The after-school club is open between 12:00 and 17:00.
