It serves hundreds of thousands of travelers annually heading to Levi, Ylläs, Pallas, and other top destinations in Lapland. As a forklift supervisor, you will be responsible for the aircraft turnaround process, receiving aircraft, and preparing them for departure with luggage and passengers. Your tasks include aircraft services, handling baggage, and ensuring the aircraft are ready for the next flight. The work is physical, varied, and performed as part of a loading team where everyone's contribution is visible and felt. Most work is outdoors, so you should be comfortable with winter cold and snow. You will manage specialized equipment essential for airport operations and safety. Requirements from applicants: - At least 18 years old - Clean background (basic security clearance will be conducted) - At least B driving license - Proficiency in Finnish and English (training is in Finnish, and English is the general language of aviation) - Good physical condition (work may involve awkward postures) - Practical experience with ramp operations - Qualification as a forklift supervisor The law on privacy in employment applies to this position. Success in this role requires stress tolerance, flexibility, and reliability. The work is irregular shift work, and you must be able to move to the airport at any time of day. Kittilä Airport has limited public transportation, so a personal vehicle or other means of transportation is necessary. The fixed-term full-time position begins in November and lasts until March 2027. Contracts can be for the entire season or shorter periods if preferred. Forklift Supervisor: starting from €2,444.46/month + additional pay according to the collective agreement, averaging €300-600/month depending on shifts.
