Shipper II, 1st shift - Avery Dennison - Remote - Global

Under the direction of the Shipping Supervisor and/or the Production Supervisor, participates in operations associated with Dalton Plant Warehouse and Dalton Distribution Center by; (1) shipping customer orders and stock transfers on time by following shipping schedule, staging orders from picking ticket, completing shipping paperwork and preparing bills of lading; (2) receiving materials, bulk chemicals and supplies by verifying, inspecting, documenting, coding and storing; (3) complying with the W.F. Taylor Dalton Transportation of Hazardous Materials Security Plan to ensure the safety and security of the Company’s employees, facilities, equipment, materials, products shipped and the general public; (4) maintaining a clean working environment by following housekeeping policies and standards; (5) maintaining a safe working environment by following and enforcing all safety rules and regulations. The shift for this position is 7am-3:30pm Mon-Thurs. Job Duties and Responsibilities include verifying, picking, inspecting, staging, coding, shipping, preparing documents, receiving, storing, and handling hazardous materials, maintaining safety and cleanliness, participating in inventories, and assisting in various warehouse tasks. Qualifications include high school diploma or G.E.D., 1-3 years experience, forklift certification, valid Georgia driver’s license, and physical ability to perform demanding tasks.
