Mechanical Engineer – CFD & Structural (Solar Panel Cooling) - Carbon13 - Remote - Global

Breeze Solar is developing next-generation cooling solutions to improve the efficiency and lifespan of photovoltaic systems. We’re looking for a mechanical engineer with strong CFD, structural analysis, and CAD expertise to lead the simulation and design work behind our cooling technology. You will design, model, and simulate cooling solutions for solar panels end-to-end — from CAD geometry through CFD and structural analysis to validated prototype design. You will also play a key role in protecting our intellectual property by assisting with the patenting of the product. Your work will directly drive prototype iteration and product decisions. Responsibilities include designing cooling solution geometries in CAD, building and running CFD simulations of airflow and heat transfer around PV modules, modeling conjugate heat transfer, performing structural analysis including thermal-structural and wind/load cases, developing and validating models, assisting with patenting, and collaborating with the hardware team. Requirements include MSc or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 3+ years CFD experience, expertise in CAD design, experience with FEA and structural analysis, fundamentals in heat transfer and fluid dynamics, meshing, solver setup, validation skills, background in solar/PV thermal management, and scripting skills.
