We are seeking a physiotherapist for a permanent position at the Helsinki Intellectual Disability Clinic. In the position, you will be responsible for the functional capacity assessment of the intellectually disabled client (Kela, the city's medical rehabilitation) and the monitoring of the service in cooperation with your own team and the clinic's multidisciplinary working group. There are five physiotherapists in the professional group, and the work is mobile and independent. Assessments are made mainly in the client's everyday environment. The task includes early rehabilitation of children with a speech therapist and assessments and referrals concerning individual assistive device needs. We value knowledge of both national languages in client work. Orientation to the work is supported by an independent and flexible way of working, a desire to develop one's own work together with others and work experience in team and network work. You are a strong applicant if you have experience in the field of intellectual disabilities. Work spaces are in Sofianlehto, but in practice you will work in the clients' everyday environments. Eligibility requirements: University of Applied Sciences degree in physiotherapy or a previous college-level degree. The position requires legalization in Finland in accordance with the Act on Health Care Professionals 559/1994. Language skill requirement is good oral and written skill in Finnish. The position requires vaccination protection in accordance with Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis certificate in accordance with Section 55. The position requires the presentation of a criminal record extract (Act on the investigation of the criminal background of persons working with children 504/2002).
