Customs is seeking: A lawyer for a fixed-term position (Customs Senior Inspector) from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027. The duties include preparing and presenting complex customs tax correction decisions in significant cases with substantial revenue impact, and acting as a national subject matter expert on change-based taxation in legally ambiguous matters. The role also involves drafting post-assessment decisions based on criminal investigations by Customs' crime prevention unit and police. The position includes internal training and various legal investigative tasks.
