Job Description
The South Ostrobothnia Wellbeing Services County is hiring a permanent practical nurse position in institutional services for child protection at the Törnävänpuisto child protection unit. The task of the Törnävänpuisto child protection facility is to provide round-the-clock institutional child protection services aimed at children aged 13-17 in the South Ostrobothnia Wellbeing Services County. We support the child's healthy growth, development, age-appropriate activities, and independence. Our operations are based on regular daily routines, safe boundaries, and proactive planning. As daily routines are established, the child's overall life management also becomes easier. Are you a team player? Are you a professional and compassionate person? We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring supervisor for our special unit Usva at Törnävänpuisto. We offer a developing and supportive work community and diverse work in a child protection unit that employs a systemic approach. Our operating principle: the child is at the center, with strong cooperation with the child's parents and close contacts. The goal is positive change for the whole family. Practical nurses work as part of a multidisciplinary team. A key task is encouraging participation through care and upbringing. Collaboration with parents and the child's network is also an important part of the job. Practical nurses participate in medication management according to their job description, together with the medication team. The work involves shift work. Qualifications include a social services, social and health care basic degree, or a practical nurse qualification (in accordance with Law 559/1994 or 817/2015). Key work methods include solution- and resource-oriented approaches as well as neurodiversity guidance. Employment terms and salary are based on the SOTE agreement (task-specific salary 2706.00 €/month). The employment relationship includes a trial period. A driver’s license is required. A certificate of health status is necessary, and a drug test may be required for selected candidates. A criminal record extract in accordance with Law 504/2002 must be presented before starting the position. HYVAEP is a smoke-free workplace.
