We are looking for you to join the early childhood education professionals in Vihti to implement high-quality early childhood education in a learning community. Vihti municipality has a fixed-term position for a child day care worker for the period 7.9.–2.10. The first placement for the position is Myrskylämäen day care center. Our day care centers feature staff who are dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated. Our early childhood education culture emphasizes collaborative work and positive pedagogy. Our core values are respectful encounters with the child and warm interaction. Your work will be supported by early childhood teachers, an early childhood special education teacher, a kindergarten counselor and a network of multidisciplinary actors. Myrskylämäen’s eight-cluster day care center and health clinic form together the Myrskylämäen family center. In our day care, a good childhood is built on curiosity, safety and respect for every child as a unique individual. We offer the child time, space and materials for growth and development. Our day care centers enable active early childhood, where the child can explore, become excited, act, do and rejoice in their own development together with the staff. In our daily work you will see elements of a good childhood: growth, child participation, joy, humor and trust. Our day is a calm, full-day pedagogical approach. We work in small groups where play is the starting point of our pedagogy and where other early childhood activities link to it. Social-emotional learning and positive guidance are the basis of our full-day pedagogy. We operate in pairs to enable child participation and the implementation of small groups for almost the whole day. We expect cooperation skills and commitment to community. We particularly value sensitivity in the child’s interaction and in encountering diversity.
