Job Description

Kissanmaa Family Support Center provides high-quality, customer-oriented short-term residential child protection services. The center operates one on-call residential unit for children under 12 years old and three on-call residential units for children over 12 years old. The residential units employ multidisciplinary staff, and collaboration extends across unit boundaries. In the larger unit, staff support each other and share expertise to ensure all work is carried out effectively. We are seeking three motivated professionals for the On-Call Residential Unit 3 for children over 12 years old to join our competent and development-oriented team as substitutes for guiding roles. The guiding role involves demanding interaction, assessment, and care work. You will work directly with children placed in the unit, their families, and networks, contributing your expertise to multidisciplinary collaboration. The focus of the work is respectful interaction with children and stabilizing daily life. Qualifications include being a licensed social worker or nurse in Finland. A valid B-class driving license and hygiene passport are required. Previous experience in child protection, emergency child protection work, or substance abuse and mental health work is considered an advantage. Valid medication administration licenses (LOP theory and calculations, PKV, and KIPU 1) are also advantageous. The position is fixed-term from August 3, 2026, to January 20, 2027. The working hours are full-time, averaging 38 hours and 15 minutes per week, including morning, evening, and night shifts. The probation period is two months. Before starting, the selected candidate must present a valid hygiene passport and a criminal record extract issued within the last month. A health certificate must be provided within one month of starting work. A pre-employment health check will be conducted at our occupational health service in Pirtte.
