Job Description: Platform Craft & Activation Director Ready to shape the future of media buying? At dentsu Finland, we are building a new Platform Craft & Activation team as a a central “engine” for how modern media actually comes to life. We are now looking for a Platform Craft & Activation Director to lead this transformation. This is not just a leadership role—it’s an opportunity to redefine how digital media buying, platforms, and performance come together. You will play a critical role in building a future-ready activation model, bringing together technology, data, and expertise to create smarter, faster, and more effective solutions for our clients. At dentsu, you’ll work at the forefront of media evolution—partnering with global platforms, experimenting with new technologies, and building solutions that keep our clients ahead of what’s next. About the role As Platform Craft & Activation Director, you lead the executional edge of modern media. You are responsible for turning strategy and planning into impact—ensuring that everything we activate is technically best-in-class, performance-driven, and built for scale. At the same time, you actively shape what activation looks like tomorrow: new tools, smarter workflows, deeper platform integrations, and more automated, insight-driven ways of working. You will build and lead a high-performing team while driving the continuous evolution of our activation capability—making dentsu a leader in platform excellence. Key responsibilities Shaping the future of activation Define and drive dentsu Finland’s activation model across different platforms Identify, test, and implement new tools, technologies, and automation opportunities Actively explore how APIs, data integrations, and platform innovation can improve performance and efficiency Lead the evolution from manual execution towards scalable, intelligent, and future-ready activation Platform excellence & performance leadership Set the standard for best-in-class media buying across DSPs and social platforms Ensure campaigns are built, optimized, and reported with the highest quality and accuracy Drive a performance-first mindset, using data and insights to continuously improve outcomes Translate platform complexity into clear, actionable ways of working Building and leading a high-performing team Lead, inspire, and develop a team of activation specialists Create a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous learning Empower the team to challenge existing ways of working and bring new ideas forward Build future skills and capabilities aligned with the evolving media landscape Driving collaboration and impact Act as the bridge between strategy, data, and execution Partner closely with Digital Planners, analytics, and tech teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions Ensure strategic ideas translate into high-quality, scalable activation frameworks Platform & ecosystem engagement Build strong relationships with key media platforms and partners Stay ahead of platform developments, bringing first-mover advantage to dentsu and our clients Leverage partner ecosystems to unlock new opportunities and innovation Operational and commercial excellence Ensure efficient budget management and high-quality execution across accounts Identify and remove inefficiencies in workflows, processes, and tools Contribute to building a scalable operating model that supports growth and profitability We are looking for you who Bring strong experience in digital media buying and activation specially through programmatic and paid social platforms Have deep expertise in key platforms (e.g. DV360, Adform, Meta or similar) Combine technical understanding with a forward-looking mindset on how media is evolving Are passionate about platforms, data, and how technology transforms marketing Have leadership experience or clear potential to lead and inspire others Are proactive, solution-oriented, and motivated to build something new Thrive in change and enjoy shaping ways of working—not just following them Have strong collaboration skills and a natural ability to bring people together Are fluent in Finnish and English We offer A unique opportunity to build and lead a new core capability from the ground up A role at the intersection of media, technology, and data The chance to influence how dentsu Finland—and our clients—approach digital activation in the future A collaborative, ambitious, and supportive team culture Opportunities to grow, innovate, and shape your own career path Interested?Send your application and CV as soon as possible — we review applications on an ongoing basis.
