Job Description
At Korn Ferry, a Associate Consultant works as part of project teams, typically alongside subject-matter experts or more experienced consultants, contributing to the design of customized solutions aimed at meeting client expectations. At this level, Associate Consultants are expected to demonstrate independent thinking and reasoning when understanding client challenges and tailoring suitable solutions. They should display a level of presence and maturity that enables them to assume responsibility for defined aspects of a project and/or develop specific expertise. We are looking for individuals with experience delivering organizational strategy projects, including operating model design, detailed organizational structure design, development of effective processes, analysis of compensation practices, benchmarking, and defining compensation models and policies. A high level of autonomy is expected in designing, proposing, and delivering solutions, as well as in project planning. New business development is not a primary responsibility at this level; however, there is an expectation to identify opportunities to broaden or improve projects and to actively contribute to these discussions both internally and with clients. Key Responsibilities Conceptualize and develop client solutions, either as part of a team or independently, delivering high-quality outputs that meet client expectations in terms of depth and technical scope Participate in projects across organizational strategy and total rewards (not exclusively), contributing to the design and implementation of solutions using analytical tools and techniques Plan project resources, recognizing when additional expertise or resources are required and managing their involvement (e.g., onboarding and briefing) Collaborate and coordinate activities with colleagues across teams and interact with all project team members Contribute to business and expertise development through sector research/analysis, preparation of technical proposals, development of methodologies, internal practices, and improved understanding of client and industry challenges through continuous learning Contribute to strengthening Korn Ferry’s brand through a broad network of contacts, helping to enhance employer branding, leverage resources, and identify additional business opportunities Background, Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field Relevant professional experience (2+ years), preferably in consulting, organizational design, transformation and change management, process design, or HR policy development — or in related roles (e.g., internal consulting or HR/organizational functions with similar responsibilities) Skills Strong conceptual thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills Ability to see the “big picture” while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills and creativity Entrepreneurial mindset and intellectual curiosity regarding new business, trends, and industry solutions Team player, with experience working effectively in multidisciplinary teams and fast-paced project environments Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; experience with analytical tools is an advantage Fluency in English and Portuguese.
