The position of EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHER is a fixed-term role at Länsituuli Daycare from August 10, 2026, to January 31, 2027. Länsituuli Daycare is a extended-hours daycare. We are open Monday to Friday from 5:15 to 22:30. Our daycare offers preschool education as well as open early childhood education. The qualification requirement for an early childhood education teacher is based on the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, Section 26), considering the transitional provisions for personnel under the same act (Section 75). A bachelor's degree in education must include professional studies in early childhood education or at least 60 ECTS credits in social and health care studies related to early childhood education and social pedagogy. The salary for the early childhood education teacher position is determined according to the job-specific pay system and levels of competence and responsibility, ranging from €2,864.37 to €2,975.07. The actual salary consists of the task-specific pay and any other levels according to OVTES. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract related to working with children, as required by law (504/2002), before starting the position. According to the Infectious Diseases Act (Section 55), the employer is responsible for requesting a reliable health certificate confirming that the employee or intern does not have active tuberculosis before starting work. This must be done before signing the employment contract. The position includes a trial period. Applications are primarily submitted via the electronic application form.
