Project Engineer, System Engineering - Etteplan Finland Oy

We are looking for several specialists to strengthen Patria's project management team in defense industry client projects — projects that have a direct impact on society's security and operational capability. In this role, you will support the planning, coordination, and documentation of projects in close collaboration with Patria's top experts. You will work under the guidance of Patria's System Engineer Manager and ensure that various stakeholders work seamlessly together to ensure that critical projects progress as planned and successfully. You do not need to be a deep technical expert — although a technical background is an advantage. More important is the ability to connect people, clarify requirements, and ensure that the overall process progresses in a controlled manner from start to finish. In this role, your impact will be visible in the success of demanding and meaningful projects. Main responsibilities - Defining requirements based on end customer needs - Supporting project implementation - Coordinating project schedules, progress, and technical tasks - Ensuring documentation, reporting, and change management - Defining internal assignments based on requirements - Creating and maintaining WBS - Acting as a point of contact with the end customer - Monitoring requirement fulfillment - Collaborating with internal stakeholders - Coordinating communication and information flow between different stakeholders - General project management Skills and experience - Several years of experience in technical project work and project management - Suitable technical university degree (Engineer AMK/YAMK or DI) - Ability to understand technical system complexes and support experts in project success - Understanding of requirement definition and utilization of WBS in project management - Self-driven and proactive approach to work — able to work independently but also enjoy working with people and building natural cooperation relationships with various stakeholders - Fluent Finnish language skills, as daily work is conducted in Finnish. Once the role is established, there is an option to switch to a hybrid model, with about 3 days a week working at the client or Etteplan's office — or to continue full-time on-site work. The working model will be agreed upon individually. A security clearance and drug test will be conducted for selected candidates.
