We are looking for an excavator operator for pipe trenching work in Nurmijärvi. The position is for an excavator operator for the upcoming season on a fixed-term contract in pipe trenching in the Nurmijärvi area. Depending on the site, the machine may be tracked or wheeled, so versatile experience with different types of excavators is a plus. Experience in trenching for fiber optic cables is not necessarily required, but experience in earthworks should be present. The work involves preparing the ground for fiber optic network installations, constructing weatherproof fiber networks, and occasionally switching from the machine controls to manual work with a shovel if needed. The work will start as soon as a suitable person is found and will be available at least until the snow arrives, possibly longer if conditions permit. If you possess the following qualities, you might be the person we are looking for: Experience in earthworks is an advantage, experience in fiber optic trenching is a big plus - we are primarily looking for a motivated worker with a good attitude, but experience is not a must. Valid professional certificates (work safety card and Tieturvakortti) - if not, they must be obtained before starting work. Good Finnish language skills - the work supervisor speaks Finnish. High work ethic – the work is independent, and you are responsible for your own work quality. Good social skills – able to work well with others even in challenging situations.
