Child and Youth Home Nokkala Oy is located in the scenic Oulu River area and has seven beds, providing institutional care services for child protection. We operate as an intake unit supporting outpatient services and for urgently placed or taken into custody youth. Nokkala also has two apartments for young people becoming independent. We are currently seeking a social services student or a social services graduate in the spring to work as a counselor on a fixed-term basis for the summer. The employment may possibly continue after the summer. As a counselor, your tasks will include a variety of youth home guiding duties. You will be responsible, together with our professional team, for the care and upbringing of children and young people placed in the unit, participate in implementing care and upbringing plans, and maintain contact with guardians and professional networks. If you have expertise in child protection or are about to graduate as a social services graduate, we will consider this as a significant plus. Our team appreciates proactive and humorous team players. Candidates must present a criminal record extract as required by law (505/2002) concerning working with children.
