Job Description

AI Finland is a national company network dedicated to driving the adoption and development of AI in Finnish businesses. By connecting companies, public actors, and research, AI Finland ensures that Finland is at the forefront of AI transformation in Europe. New Nordics AI is a cross-border initiative uniting the Nordic and Baltic AI ecosystems to strengthen the region's global standing in AI. Through collaboration across industries, ecosystems and governments, we scale impactful solutions, shape regional discussion and ensure a unified Nordic-Baltic voice is heard at EU level. We are looking for a Senior Project Lead to act as the primary contact point between the Finnish AI ecosystem and New Nordics AI. In this role you will play a key role in strengthening Finland’s position within the New Nordics AI collaboration framework by leading selected initiatives, building strategic stakeholder relationships, and connecting national priorities with regional AI cooperation. Your key responsibilities are Coordinating and leading Finland’s participation in New Nordics AI projects Managing stakeholder engagement and cross-border collaboration activities Developing project roadmaps and supporting implementation planning Identifying funding and partnership opportunities Ensuring alignment with EU funding instruments and compliance requirements. What we are looking for Proven experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects, from concepting to execution. Ability to build and navigate international partnerships and engage diverse stakeholders across policy, industry, and public sectors. Translating complex AI topics into clear recommendations and actionable insights. A fluent communicator in English and Finnish; Swedish is considered a clear advantage. Ambition to shape what Nordic AI development and adoption looks like — using collaboration as a tool to create something genuinely new in the region. Experience in one or more of the following is beneficial Proven experience in policy development, regulatory analysis, or producing thought leadership content such as white papers, position papers, and policy briefs. Strong understanding of EU funding instruments, R&D ecosystems, and the broader AI policy landscape at national and EU level. Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information from multiple sources, identify patterns and implications, and turn data and evidence into strategic conclusions. We offer a unique opportunity to shape Finland’s role in one of the most ambitious AI collaboration initiatives in Europe, working at the intersection of policy, innovation, and ecosystem development. In this role, you will collaborate closely with leading companies, research institutions, and policymakers across Finland, the Nordics, and the Baltics, while working as part of the AI Finland team within Technology Industries of Finland (TIF).
