Job Description
The duties of a registered nurse include providing home-based services for mental health and substance abuse clients, as well as serving as the nurse and team leader in a group-supported housing unit. The work is primarily daytime work during office hours and does not include evening or weekend shifts. Supported housing and guidance services for mental health and substance abuse clients are social welfare law-based services. Client services are based on needs assessment and service decisions. We work closely with social welfare authorities. Through home-based supported housing and guidance services, we support clients living independently. In the group-supported housing unit, residents who require more guidance are directed and supported. Your work includes both home-based services and duties as a nurse and team leader at Pyhäjärvi group home. The work involves traveling to clients' homes, so having a personal vehicle is an advantage. The group home is located in a peaceful and scenic environment near city services. The unit has 13 resident places and one interval place. Staff are present in two shifts every day. The group home guides and supports clients in daily activities, medication management, and encourages participation in recreational activities and movement. Successful performance in this role requires experience or skills in mental health and substance abuse work. Good communication and collaboration skills, as well as understanding of service networks, are essential. You will have the opportunity to develop smooth daily cooperation with clients, relatives, and networks, and to strengthen a rehabilitative approach. The qualification requirement is a license or equivalent registration under the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994). We will verify original diplomas and work certificates during the interview. Applicants must be registered in the register maintained by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Terhikki and/or Suosikki). Additionally, we require current medication management skills or completion within three (3) months of starting employment. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for week 25, and candidates will be contacted personally. We apply a probationary period of up to 6 months. Regarding staff vaccination, we follow the vaccination requirements under the Employment and Infectious Diseases Act. We value diversity in our workforce and welcome applicants from various backgrounds. We are committed to promoting equality and non-discrimination.
