Job Description
We are looking for a versatile Buffet Chef who can handle everything from simple lunch buffets to multi-course dinner buffets with live-fire cooking on the service side. The role requires good preparation skills, strong presentation, confidence in guest-facing service, and the ability to maintain quality, freshness, and smooth service flow. This position supports daily kitchen operations across our buffet services, including breakfast and lunch at the hotel restaurant, as well as lunch and dinner buffet services at our Wilderness Center restaurant. As the Wilderness Center is located 20 km from the hotel, a valid driving licence and access to a car are required. You will work as part of a flexible and cooperative international kitchen team, contributing to preparation, buffet setup, service, cleanliness, food safety, and overall shift readiness. During buffet service, you will also work independently, so good timing, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions while maintaining high quality are essential. As both our guests and staff are international, the working language is English. We expect you to have previous experience working in restaurants or professional kitchens, as well as a good understanding of kitchen workflow, mise en place, hygiene standards, and service routines. Experience with buffet service, live cooking, breakfast service, or open-fire cooking is considered an advantage.
