The school has approximately 950 students and 110 staff members daily. In addition to general education, Jokiniemi School offers small group instruction, workshop teaching, and education for children with autism and severe developmental disabilities. According to Jokiniemi School's own work instructions, we have always been a neighborhood school for all children, where each student can learn and grow at their own developmental stage and according to their abilities. Children learn to evaluate their own work with adult support. Jokiniemi School is recruiting for a fixed-term teacher of Finnish as a Second Language. The instruction is primarily for grades 6-7. Based on the number of students who speak languages other than Finnish as their mother tongue (S2), additional pay of 165.20 euros/month may be paid to qualified teaching staff. We may start interviews before the application deadline. Employment details: Qualification requirement: Qualification according to the Decree on Qualifications for Teaching Staff (986/1998). Terms of employment are governed by the Municipal Collective Agreement for Teaching Staff (OVTES).
