Job Description

South Savo Welfare Area Eloisa is seeking a doctor for the palliative care center for a permanent position starting from July 1, 2026, or according to agreement. The palliative care center of South Savo Welfare Area provides specialized (B-level) palliative care to local residents. The work is based at Eloisa's palliative care centers in Savonlinna and Mikkeli. The center supports palliative care across the region through ward work, outpatient clinics, and consultation services. You will have the opportunity to utilize and further develop your skills as part of a knowledgeable and respected multidisciplinary team. There is no on-call duty included, but participation is optional. Work arrangements can be negotiated based on your personal situation, and part-time or hybrid work is possible. Eloisa is a training-oriented employer that supports participation in external training. We encourage continuous professional development, and doctors have the opportunity to attend both national and international training programs. Our salary levels are among the top in the country: - Licensed doctor, less than 3 years since licensure - 7868.48€/month - Licensed doctor, more than 3 years since licensure - 8380.98€/month - Specialist doctor, less than 10 years of specialist training - 9559.58€/month - Specialist doctor / demanding tasks, 10 years of specialist training - 9962.08€/month Locally agreed task-specific supplements are paid based on professional qualifications and job description. Eloisa offers employees a benefit worth 200 euros for use in sports, culture, or wellness services. We want you to enjoy working with us and to feel good. The eligibility requirement for the position is the right to practice as a general practitioner independently as a licensed professional (Health Care Professionals Act 559/94, Section 4). Experience in palliative work is valued. There is also an opportunity to complete a specialized palliative care qualification. The position requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per the Communicable Diseases Act Section 48 and a health statement regarding respiratory tuberculosis as per Section 55. Before appointment, the selected candidate must provide a health status report. Good oral and written Finnish language skills are required for the role. A six-month probation period applies.
