Job Description

Avery Dennison is a global leader in pressure-sensitive adhesives and materials, labels, tags, retail systems and specialty chemicals. The Fastener Solutions business unit of Avery Dennison is a worldwide manufacturer of plastic fastening systems used in the automotive, apparel, retail, industrial and packaging industries. Our three-shift injection molding and extrusion operation is located in Fitchburg, MA. The Fastener Solutions business unit is ISO/TS 16949 certified. The Warehouse Associate is responsible to process incoming orders from our customers and support the overall effort in the warehouse operation. Picking orders, storing incoming product/materials and preparing shipments are all important tasks of this position. Effectively communicating and working with the Customer Service Team, the Manufacturing Team and with the rest of the Warehouse Team is key. In this position you will work Day Shift 6am-2pm. Activities may include, but are not limited to: Pick and process outgoing customer orders. Communicate effectively internally and externally for effective order fulfillment. Use powered lift equipment, pallet jacks and forklifts to move and properly store materials. Work with computers, scanners, scales and other related equipment to perform duties. Count, inventory and calculate receipts and shipments. Verify quality of processed orders. Loading and unloading Trucks. Unloading containers manually and with powered lift equipment. Repacking of product (RMA and Customer Labels). Picking and assembling samples. Distributing raw material and packaging to production. Receiving product, materials, packaging and etc… from Production. Assist in processing UPS as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year + experience in a warehousing, stockroom or closely related role required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly each day.
  • Proven skill with warehousing, inventory and shipping/receiving.
  • Proven communication and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Experience with data entry required.
