Job Description
Our three-year Half-Time project, starting in September 2026, is co-financed by the European Social Fund. The project aims to maintain and strengthen the employment readiness of unemployed youth through sports, healthy lifestyles, and daily support. TampereMission manages the project, with Ilves ry and Tampere University of Applied Sciences as partners. We collaborate with the City of Tampere's growth and employment services. What are the responsibilities of the project manager-coach? As a project manager-coach, you will lead the project and ensure effective collaboration among the project actors. You will be responsible for external communication, smooth reporting to the steering group and funders, and budget management. In client work, you will provide individual and group support to young people, participate in implementing sports activities for youth, and train peer mentors. The role combines administrative skills with meaningful client work among young people. We value in you especially: - Relevant social services degree (AMK) or equivalent expertise. - Previous experience supporting the daily lives of at-risk youth. - Excellent oral and written communication skills in Finnish. Other language skills are an advantage. - Experience in utilizing social media tools for communication. - Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, proactive and solution-oriented attitude. - Experience in project management or working in projects is considered an advantage. - Genuine interest in social work and societal impact, and commitment to TampereMission's values.
