Employment Specialist - Sodankylän kunta

As an employment specialist in the Employer and Business Services, your task is to provide statutory public employment services to companies and employers in collaboration with other service providers, and to promote the availability of skilled labor, thereby supporting the functioning of the labor market and the competitiveness of companies. Your work is proactive, involving active employer visits and service needs assessments to companies and employers operating in the employment sector. Your clients include companies and other employers at various stages of operation, from start-ups to established businesses. You advise employers on recruitment-related questions, handle open job positions, and search for suitable candidates. You offer European employment services to employers and guide companies to other international recruitment support services. You participate in local and regional cooperation and forecasting with municipalities, developing forms of collaboration and recruitment service pathways together with municipalities and other actors in the employment sector. We require a higher education degree, and experience in recruitment and public employer or business services is considered an advantage. The role requires good cooperation and networking skills, problem-solving abilities related to service needs, and the ability to work systematically. Change management skills and a positive work attitude are also valued. Proficiency in spoken and written Finnish and good command of English are necessary. The primary work location is in Inari municipality, Ivalo. Remote work is possible, and in permanent positions, a 6-month probation period applies.
