Childcare Worker and Night Childcare Worker, Nikkarinharju Child Protection Unit - Humana - Helsinki, Finland

We are expanding our operations and are looking for childcare workers and night childcare workers at the Nikkarinharju basic level residential unit in Oksa 2 to implement safe and high-quality child protection work. The work is full-time and permanent, mainly evening and weekend shifts, with one night shift worker working primarily at night. The work begins on September 1, 2026. The core of your work is a goal-oriented and warm everyday life in foster care, creating a safe and homely environment for children. Tasks include cooking, cleaning, enabling hobbies, supporting school attendance, and medication administration. The role involves close work with children, supporting their growth, and building quality relationships with their families and networks. The work is planned, documentation-heavy, methodical, but also requires creativity and willingness to try new methods. The setting is trauma-informed and dialogic, creating safety with predictable structures. You will develop skills in neuropsychiatric approaches, RAI assessments, and DKT skills. The salary follows the private social services sector collective agreement, ranging from €2415.76 to €2990.35 per month depending on experience and role.
