The Youth Services of the City of Rovaniemi is seeking a group facilitator for the Youth Workshop Kulttuuriverstas for a permanent position. Kulttuuriverstas offers workshop activities for young people aged 15-28 at Monitoritalo Mondella. The workshop activities support young people's daily management, self-awareness, and work-life skills through cultural youth work methods. The activities are divided into two groups: Kota focuses on nature- and art-based methods as well as everyday skills, and Verstas provides practical experience in cultural sector tasks such as photography, theater, and media production, including everyday skills. Both groups offer content that prepares for qualifications (TuVa). In addition to group facilitation, individual coaching is provided. Kulttuuriverstas is looking for a skilled and inspiring group facilitator to strengthen our multidisciplinary team. The job includes planning and implementing workshop activities, as well as monitoring and reporting. The role emphasizes guiding young people both individually and in groups. We seek a person who can engage with young people, recognize their strengths, and support their growth towards education and employment. The work requires building trusting relationships, supporting young people through everyday challenges, and enhancing their participation. Kulttuuriverstas utilizes creative and hands-on methods such as expressive arts, theater, movement, and nature-based activities. The activities also include photography, video production, music, and light and sound technology. We value experience and skills in some of these methods and the ability to apply them in work with young people. Good communication skills, the ability to meet young people both individually and in groups, and the capacity to inspire and motivate young people with a supportive approach are essential. A six-month probation period applies. The qualification requirement is a suitable university of applied sciences degree. Relevant work experience with young people and methodological skills in some of the methods used at Kulttuuriverstas are considered an advantage. The work begins on September 7, 2026, or by agreement. Salary and other employment terms are based on KVTES.
