Operations Co-Op - Savannah - Kraton Chemical Oy - Remote - Global

The Operations Co-op position exists as a developmental support position for our manufacturing operations teams. The position will be involved in day-to-day process engineering support activities and also be responsible for completing 1-2 larger, long-term projects which will be defined at the beginning of the co-op rotation. Co-ops will be targeted at the sophomore and junior levels and will complete 2-3 rotations within the Company's manufacturing operations and may be assigned to manufacturing plants located in Panama City, Florida; Pensacola, Florida; Savannah, Georgia, Belpre, Ohio. The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following: Define and complete 1-2 large projects within the rotation period. Gain knowledge of the Company's operations and provide technical support as needed. Participate in plant management and departmental team meetings. Create and deliver end of semester presentation/report to senior management and executive leadership. Required Skills Keen focus on personal and physical safety. Committed to completing the rotational program. Able to work off hours if needed/necessary. Must have basic proficiency using Microsoft Office applications to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook E-mail, and Project. Must be willing to work with others and have a positive attitude in a manufacturing or office setting. Possess a basic understanding and knowledge of academic discipline. Learn, apply knowledge, and skills to the performance of [Insert Division]. Able to research and integrate new ideas into the business. Display effective business communication skills, (oral, written, instructional, and presentation) as well as the ability to work on cross-functional and/or geographically dispersed teams. Must demonstrate personal initiative to complete work without missing deadlines and communicate and follow-up on the status of projects and other work assignments in a timely manner. Able to organize and prioritize project and work tasks. Project Management skills or classwork preferred but not required. Education, Certifications & Licenses Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate (sophomore, junior, senior) student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field of study.
