We are looking for an Information Specialist for a permanent position in the digital team of the Media Culture Unit at Oodi Central Library, in a motivated community where we act decisively and actively develop our working methods! Oodi is a busy modern library and house of literature. It is one of the 38 branches of the Helsinki City Library. Oodi has 70 employees in five different teams. As a community and in teams, we operate in a community-driven manner and follow jointly agreed safer space principles. Customer service is the top priority at Oodi, and Oodi staff work at all service points throughout the building. If you excel in fast-paced customer service and are motivated to develop customer encounters, you may be the person we are looking for. We work in shifts, including weekends. As an Information Specialist in the Media Culture Unit, you will develop the team's work processes and internal communication together with the unit manager and the team's other information specialist. You will be specifically responsible for Oodi's studio and presentation technology services and their development, as well as the versatility and accessibility of services and equipment together with your team. You will also participate in library-wide cooperation regarding your areas of responsibility. You have excellent collaboration and interaction skills and want to work with people. Eligibility requirements for the position are a Master's degree and good proficiency in Finnish and English, as well as satisfactory Swedish or excellent proficiency in another language. Experience working in a public library, customer service experience, and a versatile understanding of the AV field are considered an advantage.
