We are looking for a school guidance counselor to work closely with the preschool teacher in the children's group, but also independently with individual students. You are proactive and can identify where help and support are needed. You can set boundaries respectfully. Low-threshold interaction is natural for you. You easily build relationships with children. Knowledge of special educational approaches is an advantage. Well-being for both children and adults is important. You speak and write Finnish at a good language level. The preschool and primary classes have approximately 110 students, and currently, the middle school has about 20 students. The primary school is located at Svenska gården in the Anttilanmäki residential area. It is within walking distance to the train, enabling commuting from the Helsinki metropolitan area. Svenska gården also hosts the Folkhälsan daycare and after-school activities. The middle school is located at Paavola campus in Tiirismaa's Finnish-speaking school. Our school serves as a local school for Swedish-speaking students in the Lahti region. Qualifications required are a school guidance counselor qualification. Attach your diploma and other certificates demonstrating your qualification. If no qualified applicants apply, unqualified candidates will also be considered. The successful candidate must present a criminal background check in accordance with the law on background checks for persons working with children (504/2002). A drug test certificate may be requested for the selected candidate. A four-month probation period applies. Work is not offered during school holidays. School holidays are unpaid leave.
