We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher for the Department of Management for a fixed-term two-year position. The role is in the field of business studies. The employment begins on 1 October 2026 or as agreed. The postdoctoral researcher will be part of the Strategic Business Development research group, actively participating in project planning, implementation, and applying for national and international research funding. The role emphasizes building long-term cooperation with regional companies, development organizations, and university centers, and identifying opportunities for research, development, and innovation collaboration based on regional economic needs. The position includes teaching and supervision in the Master's program in Business Development, closely linked to regional research and RDI activities, involving students in regional development through projects, company collaboration, and theses. The candidate should have a strong interest in research-oriented pedagogy and integrating research, teaching, and regional impact. The role requires regular work in Seinäjoki, Kokkola, and Vaasa, with the primary work location in one of these cities. Experience in practical teaching, motivation to connect research with practical business development, and interest in working with companies and regional actors are valued. The candidate should have a suitable doctoral degree in business or a related field, ability for independent scientific work, and teaching skills. Experience in research projects, funding acquisition, collaboration with companies, and international experience are advantageous. The role requires proficiency in Finnish and fluent English. The salary is approximately 3,630–4,080 euros/month, depending on experience and merits.
