Job Description
Saarijärvi's early childhood education is seeking an early childhood education teacher for a fixed-term position at Lannevesi Daycare from August 13 to December 18, 2026. Saarijärvi operates four municipal daycares: Lannevesi, Pikku-Mäntylä, Pylkönmäki, and Sivula. The working hours are 38.25 hours per week. As an early childhood education teacher, you will be responsible for the pre-primary education and the development of the early childhood education's operational culture and learning environment, as well as planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing pedagogical activities together with your team. The team is supported by the daycare director and three itinerant special education teachers, whose expertise is utilized to promote group activities and support children's needs. We value a child-centered, positive, and solution-oriented approach, as well as the ability to genuinely, respectfully, and professionally engage with children, guardians, and colleagues. Important skills include good cooperation and interaction skills, initiative, and enthusiasm for developing early childhood education activities. We also appreciate humor, perseverance, and resourcefulness in everyday situations. Saarijärvi offers employees diverse recreational activities through municipal leisure services, adult education, and cultural events. Terms of employment and salary are determined according to the Collective Agreement for Early Childhood Education and Care (OVTES). The minimum qualifications are those of an early childhood education teacher or pre-primary teacher. The selected candidate must present a criminal background check.
