Asemantie Daycare Center provides early childhood education, preschool education, and after-hours care around the clock and on weekends. The daycare is located in the center of Savonlinna, near the parallel road and the main library Joeli, on the former railway station area. We are seeking a temporary early childhood education assistant for our team for the period 10.8.2026-31.5.2027. The position is in an after-hours care group. An early childhood education assistant works in a children's group either as a child-specific or group-specific assistant. The assistant guides and supports one or more children with support needs. Their task is to support the child's daily activities and enable participation in group activities. The assistant promotes the child's development, learning, and well-being in accordance with early childhood education goals, in collaboration with other educational staff. We require good teamwork and communication skills, flexibility, independent responsibility, and a positive and sensitive work attitude. Qualifications include a relevant degree in education and guidance. Consideration may also be given to other suitable candidates. Position-specific monthly salary: 2495.90 €/month Working hours: 38.25 hours/week Collective agreement: KVTES A four (4) month probation period applies. The selected candidate must provide a tuberculosis certificate in accordance with the Infectious Diseases Act (55§) and a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on Background Checks for Persons Working with Children (504/2002).
