As a school guidance counselor, you will assist and support students throughout the school day. Your duties include, for example: Guiding and assisting students during lessons with individual tasks, encouraging students' desire to learn, helping students keep track of their schedule and materials, organizing supervised recess activities, guiding students in social situations, participating in lesson planning, parent meetings, and other school activities as directed by teachers or the principal, supervising students during school trips, excursions, and theme days. Qualifications: Vocational qualification for school guidance counselor (Vocational qualification in pedagogical activities and guidance) or other equivalent higher education degree or vocational qualification. Previous experience working with grades 7-9 is considered an asset. A criminal background check should be presented at the start of employment.
