Specialist doctor in the specialist training phase, with a license to practice in rehabilitation services until 31.12.2026. We are seeking a rehabilitation-oriented specialist doctor or a doctor in the specialist training phase (including those doing outreach services) for the rehabilitation service area at Kainuu Central Hospital, primarily for the demanding rehabilitation ward. The job description can be tailored individually, and work can be divided as agreed across different clinics and wards within the rehabilitation service area. We provide sufficient medical consultation and multidisciplinary support. Part of the working hours can be performed remotely, and we are also interested in part-time applicants. The employment relationship can be fixed-term according to agreement. The demanding rehabilitation ward operates as a 15-bed unit within specialized healthcare. The ward has a chief physician. Multidisciplinary rehabilitation is carried out here, especially for patients with cerebrovascular disorders, trauma, joint replacements, and spinal cord injuries. The ward employs 20 nurses, 4 physiotherapists, 2 occupational therapists, a speech therapist, and a social counselor, with access to consultations from other specialties and psychological support as needed. The developmental disability psychiatry ward is a 6-bed acute ward for people with developmental disabilities, mainly referred from home or residential units. The ward has a chief physician responsible also for the developmental disability outpatient clinic. Fourteen nurses work here, with a multidisciplinary team or its members as needed. The physiatry outpatient clinic handles diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders. The clinic has a chief physician and a chief of the ward. The rehabilitation research outpatient clinic is responsible for planning vocational rehabilitation and assessing work capacity as part of a multidisciplinary team. The rehabilitation research outpatient clinic is staffed by a chief physician. There are good opportunities for consultation and multidisciplinary support from other specialties at the clinics. The qualification requirement is a specialist doctor or a doctor in the specialist training phase. We require vaccination protection according to section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act.
