We are looking for a skilled machinist for our client Polarteknik Oy, for a permanent full-time position of 40 hours per week, with an indefinite contract. Polarteknik Oy is a Finnish company specializing in door solutions for rail traffic, designing and manufacturing high-quality interior door systems for leading train manufacturers worldwide. The work involves versatile machining of aluminum profiles as part of the interior door assemblies of trains. You will work on two machining centers and a semi-automatic saw. You will participate comprehensively in the production process, from machining to measurements and quality assurance. The job emphasizes precision, quality, and technical skills. The tasks include setting up machines, modifying programs, and manufacturing parts according to drawings. The work is carried out in close cooperation with other production, but also requires an independent and responsible work attitude. Initially, work is performed on a two-shift schedule on weekdays, with a possible transition to a three-shift schedule in the fall. Morning shifts are from 6:00 to 14:00, and evening shifts from 14:00 to 24:00. Due to longer workdays during evening weeks, Fridays are free. Start date is negotiable, between July and August. Requirements: Experience in machining tasks, Experience in setting up machines and modifying programs, Ability to read technical drawings, Experience in measurements with a micrometer, Careful and precise work approach, Ability to work independently and as part of a team, Fluent Finnish language skills.
