Read more: metsagroup.com/metsaforall. This recruitment is conducted anonymously. We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer for Metsä Fibre's Sawmill in Lappeenranta, to a permanent position. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of the maintenance team at the Lappeenranta sawmill. Your tasks include planning, coordinating, and developing maintenance work, and you will also serve as the supervisor for the electrical and automation operators. You will ensure smooth processing of maintenance requests, make necessary procurements, and oversee the practical implementation of electrical and automation tasks. You will participate in weekly and annual maintenance preparations and implementations, as well as various renovation and development projects together with other teams. You will be responsible for testing and maintaining the saw’s sprinkler and fire alarm systems. You will work closely with your team, production, and external partners. The goal is to manage the saw’s electrical and automation operations with high quality and cost-efficiency, with a strong focus on environmental and safety issues. The position requires AMK-level electrical/automation education. You are solution-oriented, proactive, and determined. You have the ability to systematically push things forward. You possess strong communication skills and can communicate clearly with your team and other stakeholders. Leadership experience is not mandatory, but readiness to take on supervisory responsibilities and support the team is important. You have a strong desire to develop your own and the organization’s skills. Your working language is Finnish, and we also expect you to have good command of English.
