Moving School - Project Worker - Alajärven kaupunki - Alajärvi, Finland

The Department of Education Services of the City of Alajärvi is seeking a fixed-term Project Worker for the Moving School project from September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. We are recruiting a project worker for the joint Moving School project of the City of Alajärvi and the Municipality of Vimpeli. The full-time fixed-term position begins on September 1, 2026, or as agreed, and lasts until June 30, 2027. The terms of employment are governed by the municipal collective agreement (KVTES). The goal of the project is to integrate the practices developed in previous projects into the permanent well-being and student health work in schools, as well as to strengthen staff skills and a shared operational culture. The Moving School activities will be continued by reinforcing previous measures and supporting a culture of physical activity. Efforts to expand physical activity counseling to elementary schools will be made by strengthening cooperation with guardians to increase children's physical activity and support the well-being of children and families. The project worker will work closely with principals, staff, and sports services of the schools in Alajärvi and Vimpeli. Applicants are required to have suitable education for the position. Previous experience working in educational institutions is considered an advantage. Good communication skills are also required. The position will be subject to a 3-month probationary period.
