Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an electrical engineer for our Tampere office to work on versatile industrial and renewable energy projects. As an experienced professional in electrical design you will be a key person ensuring that electrical design projects are carried out efficiently and with high quality. In addition to project management and design work, you may mentor younger designers based on your solid experience; Lead roles are possible depending on your background. In addition to large projects, our daily work includes numerous smaller tasks. Project delivery models vary by project and your duties will adapt to project needs or lifecycle stage. We are currently involved in interesting hydrogen, battery and energy technology projects. We have a flat organizational structure with broad empowerment and responsibility distributed widely. We are always open to new ideas and Sweco gives you the opportunity to influence things with low thresholds. You will not have to solve challenges alone – you will work closely with a collaborative team and your supervisor. We are looking to strengthen our Tampere office located in Ratina. We work in a hybrid model, combining office and remote work flexibly. To succeed in this role you have an electrical engineering degree (AMK/YAMK/DI) in electrical power technology or electrical energy engineering. You have already gained experience in industrial electrification design, process electrification or electrical distribution design. If you find Lead role interesting, you have the capability and willingness to take leadership and guide other electrical design projects. Proficiency in Finnish (spoken and written) is essential, good English is a plus. Experience with ALMA is considered an asset from the systems side. Your operating style is driven by development-minded thinking, a desire to learn, and to grow professionally. You also have a customer-oriented attitude, sense of responsibility and good communication and interpersonal skills.
